Course Overview:  

Social Encounter offers a unique and interactive social skills development program that uses the power of tabletop role-playing games, like Dungeons & Dragons, to foster communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. In a safe, inclusive environment, students work together in guided, imaginative scenarios, learning essential social skills while having fun and building confidence.

Course Objectives:

Participants will:

- Develop critical social skills, including effective communication, active listening, and teamwork.

- Build confidence through role-play scenarios that encourage creative problem-solving.

- Learn empathy and perspective-taking by interacting with diverse character types and situations.

- Practice emotional regulation, adaptability, and cooperative play.

Sessions are held online or in designated community spaces, creating a flexible learning environment that accommodates various schedules. Led by experienced facilitators, each group session is customized to age and developmental level, ensuring each participant benefits from a supportive, peer-based learning experience.

Our Social Skills Development course is designed as a 4-week program, with one session held each week. Each session provides a focused, interactive experience that gradually builds social skills in a fun, engaging environment.
